Three Fingered Jack, Cascade Mountains, Oregon, 2015

Thank you for taking the time to view my photography. I'm based out of Silverton, Oregon, a small town nestled below the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. I'm a husband to my amazing and supportive wife, Sahaji, and a father to our two young boys, Ancil and Elias. I feel blessed on many so levels to be surrounded by so much love and beauty.

My earliest inspirations are rooted in the works of artists such as Ansel Adams, Galen Rowell and Art Wolfe. As such, my first images were made on large format black and white and 35mm color slide films. It wasn't until 2009 that I began making the transition to digital, which I now shoot almost exclusively.

In 2001 I travelled the world for a year. Then in 2003 I hiked the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail from Mexico to Canada. I took pictures of what made my heart sing. With this came a burning desire to live on the fringes, explore, create and find my vision. I took on new projects: the 4-year (2004-2008) eruptive phase on Mount St. Helens, Steens Mountain and the Owyhee Canyonlands in SE Oregon. Most of my landscape work these days is from nearby Silver Falls State Park, but my primary focus appears to be shifting to what I'm closest to: My kiddos, but with and emphasis on spending time in the outdoors.
