"Cascade Head Spectre"
The Spectre of Brocken, an unusual and extremely rare optical phenomenon, typically seen in mountainous areas. It occurs when the sun shines from behind the observer, projecting his/her magnified shadow against clouds or mist. The circular rainbow colored fringes, called "glories," are caused by light diffraction; light bounces off the water droplets and shines back to the viewer. Cascade Head, Oregon Coast
